Transportation

Airport Shuttle

The Park Town Hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport. This service runs Monday-Friday (no shuttle on weekends or holidays) from 8am-5pm. You must be a registered guest at the hotel and can call to request the shuttle once you have arrived in Saskatoon and have picked up your luggage at the airport and the concierge will tell you approximately how long the wait will be.

Delta Bessborough, On-campus Residence– no shuttle services.

The Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport is served by several car rental agencies that operate out of the terminal building. All rental vehicles are conveniently located in the parking lot just across curbside outside the terminal building.

Public Transit

Saskatoon public transit is $3.00 per ride. Buses are cash-only and do not give change. A re-loadable Go-Pass Card can be purchased at City Hall, at any Macs Convenience Store (there is one on campus in Place Riel) and at a number of other locations (full list available through link below).

Directions From Airport:

Bus routes [11] and [40] leave from the airport and go to the City Centre bus terminal. Here you can transfer to a number of different busses to get to the university:

  • 3 College Park
  • 4 Willowgrove
  • 5 Briarwood
  • 6 Market Mall
  • 17 Stonebridge
  • 50 Lakeview
  • 60 Lakeridge
  • 70 Silverspring

The City Centre terminal is about a 6 minute walk from the Delta Bessborough, an 8 minute walk to the Park Town Hotel and a 30 minute walk to campus.

Saskatoon Transit has an easy to use Click-and-Go website, where you can input your start and end destination and it calculates a number of route options for you to choose from. You can also use Google Transit to do the same.

WeCar

For those staying in residence, WeCar might be a good option for short-term leasing. WeCar is a car sharing program and vehicles can be rented by the hour or by the day. There is a membership fee, but this can be used towards your use of the wecar.
